The Setting
This traditional 100 year old farmhouse is situated high above the Mediterranean inland within the Axarquia area of Malaga province in the beautiful Andalucia. Enveloped by the rugged, verdant mountains of the Sierra de Tejeda to the east, the Montes de Malaga to the west and the panorama of Lake Vinuela and the Mediterranean to the south, this place really is a paradise found.
This private, quiet, hidden idyll is only an hour from Malaga airport.
The Cortijo
Casa Belmonte has been renovated imaginatively in a rustic style. It faces south and sits within an olive and almond grove. The tranquil location features a fabulous 9m x 4m private, chemical-free saltwater pool with a large sunbathing area, a shaded summer terrace with a dining area (which seats 12 comfortably) & a built-in BBQ – some say the property has ‘the best views in Axarquia’.
The cool, light, spacious house has five double, air-conditioned bedrooms and three lovely shower rooms. A comfortable home from home for up to 12 guests. There is a large family kitchen/diner and a luxurious sitting room with satellite TV and south-facing views.
The Grounds
The mature gardens and vine covered terraces that surround the property offer many places to relax and unwind in or out of the sun.
Casa Belmonte lies between the two pretty white villages of Periana and Alcaucin – both 10 mins away by car through gorgeous countryside.
The sunshine beaches of the eastern Costa del Sol are 25 minutes away. The historic cities of Granada, Malaga and Cordoba are all easy day trips.
Casa Belmonte is ideal for family holidays or groups of friends. If you like being at one with nature this is the place for you.
